Pop-up test for using Moodle


If a pop-up message appears over top of this page, your browser is configured to allow pop-up messages, and you can close the pop-up message and this window and return to the Startup Kit.

If you do not see a pop-up window appear on your screen, it means you might have a pop-up blocker enabled on your computer. To disable pop-up or ad-blockers, search your hard-drive for any software with “pop-up” in the name and disable it.

Pop-up or ad-blocking functions are also sometimes included in some anti-virus, internet security, personal firewall, and browser programs. This means that you may need to disable the relevant setting for the pop-up blocker in the appropriate program. Some examples of such programs include:

  • McAfee
  • Norton Internet Security
  • Internet Explorer version 6.x or higher with Windows XP Services Pack 2. You can disable the pop-up blocker in this version of Internet Explorer by:
    • Opening Internet Explorer,
    • Selecting Tools then choosing Internet Options,
    • Selecting the Privacy tab,
    • Deselecting (turning off) Block pop-ups,
    • Clicking Apply to save your settings, and
    • Shutting down and restarting Internet Explorer.
