The UVic TIL Support Desk is in place to help instructors and students in distance courses with technical issues related to their course technologies.

Students and instructors are responsible for purchasing, installing and maintaining all computer hardware and software required for their participation in these online courses. The TIL Support Desk is not responsible for any damage to your digital device and/or computer system that arises because of advice provided by TIL Support. TIL Support Desk users agree to indemnify and hold harmless the University of Victoria and the TIL Support Desk and their employees from any direct or consequential damages resulting from the technical support provided, including but not limited to: hardware or software failure, data loss, server maintenance/downtime, network failure, power failure, or viruses or worms.

Everything you try on your digital device and/or computer system, whether inspired by or in accordance with the advice given by the TIL Support Desk service or not, is entirely at your own risk; any loss or damage arising from the use of this service is the sole responsibility of the user. The University of Victoria will not be responsible for any injury or damage, direct or indirect, arising from the use of the TIL Support Desk’s services.
